A compact zoological park in an old olive grove where rescued, displaced, and zoo-born animals receive lifelong care while visitors learn about wildlife, conservation, and the life sciences through animal-focused exhibits and experiences.
Wildlife Learning Center is a zoological park in California's San Fernando Valley, set within an old olive grove and focused on public education, conservation, and lifelong care for animals in need. The center provides a permanent home for more than 100 displaced, rescued, and zoo-born wild animals, creating a setting where animal welfare and learning are closely connected. Its collection includes mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and other species from around the world.
The animal collection includes African servals, bobcats, Canada lynx, foxes, porcupines, sloths, squirrel monkeys, lemurs, bald eagles, owls, hawks, reptiles, frogs, tortoises, and an American alligator. The center also shares individual rescue stories, explaining how animals arrived and why some cannot return to the wild. General admission, private tours, animal experiences, and educational programs provide different ways to explore the collection, while outreach programs extend its teaching beyond the center. Wildlife Learning Center suits travelers interested in smaller-scale zoological experiences where rescued animals and their individual histories are an important part of the visit.
