Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary

Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary is a nonprofit sanctuary in northern Nevada that provides lifetime care for rescued exotic animals that cannot return to the wild. The facility was established as a refuge for animals in need and focuses on creating spacious, naturalistic habitats where residents can live while visitors learn about their stories and needs.

The sanctuary cares for a variety of rescued wildlife, including large carnivores, birds of prey, reptiles, and other exotic species. Visitors explore the property through outdoor paths and viewing areas designed around the animals' habitats, with educational information explaining each species and the challenges involved in wildlife care. The destination also offers programs and events that connect guests with conservation and animal welfare topics. Animal Ark is best suited to travelers interested in rescue-focused wildlife facilities where the emphasis is on rehabilitation, lifelong care, and learning about individual animals rather than a traditional zoo collection.
