A Southern Indiana wildlife park combining a drive-through safari with guided tours and dedicated animal encounters, offering opportunities to see more than 40 species and meet giraffes, sloths, elephants, otters, and other animals.
Wilstem Wildlife Park is a multi-part wildlife attraction in Southern Indiana built around safari-style viewing and direct animal encounters. Its self-guided safari lets visitors drive their own vehicle along a maintained gravel road while viewing more than 40 species roaming the property. A guided wagon safari provides another way to explore the grounds, with a guide accompanying the tour and opportunities to feed animals along the route.
Beyond the safari, Wilstem offers dedicated encounters with animals including giraffes, sloths, elephants, otters, and grizzly bears. The Roos and Crew Barn provides a more intimate setting for viewing kangaroos, reptiles, and other small animals. The destination also incorporates a dinosaur drive-through alongside the wildlife safari, although the dinosaur portion is seasonal. With several distinct ways to experience its animals, Wilstem suits travelers who want more than vehicle-based wildlife viewing and are interested in combining a safari with focused encounters and smaller animal exhibits.
