Shy Wolf Sanctuary Education & Experience Center

Shy Wolf Sanctuary Education & Experience Center is a nonprofit wildlife sanctuary in Naples, Florida, dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals that cannot be returned to the wild or safely placed in traditional homes. Founded in 1993, the sanctuary provides lifelong refuge for wolves, wolfdogs, and other animals while using their stories to educate the public about wildlife, responsible animal care, and coexistence. The sanctuary operates as a refuge rather than a conventional zoo, with each resident receiving individualized care.

Visitors experience the sanctuary through guided educational programs that introduce them to resident animals and explain their histories, behaviors, and needs. Tours may include opportunities to observe wolves, wolfdogs, foxes, raccoons, reptiles, and other rescued animals while learning about the challenges faced by captive wildlife. The sanctuary also offers educational outreach programs and specialized experiences designed around animal welfare and conservation topics. Shy Wolf Sanctuary suits travelers interested in rescued wildlife and animal advocacy, particularly those who want a more personal, story-focused visit centered on the lives of individual sanctuary residents.
