Alameda Park Zoo

Alameda Park Zoo is a municipal zoo with roots dating to 1898, when the site began as a deer park at the south end of Alameda Park. Today, the 12-acre zoo cares for nearly 200 animals representing dozens of species, with a mission centered on environmental education, conservation, recreation, and biological research.
