A drive-through safari and walk-through zoo built around close encounters with free-ranging exotic animals, including opportunities to feed wildlife from your vehicle and explore additional animal exhibits on foot.
Tennessee Safari Park combines a 7.5-mile drive-through safari with a 20-acre walk-through zoo, creating a visit centered on animal encounters rather than a conventional exhibit-by-exhibit layout. The drive-through portion lets guests explore in their own vehicle while animals approach the cars, with opportunities to feed some species along the route. The setting also reflects the park's development on a long-established family farm in rural West Tennessee.
The walk-through section adds a different pace, with exhibits featuring small primates, wallabies, cranes, foxes, antelope, sloths, and other animals. Guests can also hand-feed giraffes, interact with parakeets, and visit a petting area with pygmy goats. The combination of a lengthy drive-through route and a separate walking area makes the park particularly suited to travelers who enjoy interactive wildlife experiences and want to spend time observing animals at close range rather than following a compact zoo path.
