Ohio Bird Sanctuary

Ohio Bird Sanctuary is a nonprofit nature center and wildlife rehabilitation facility in Mansfield, Ohio, dedicated to bird conservation, rehabilitation, and environmental education. The sanctuary operates on more than 90 acres of forested land, providing habitats for resident birds that cannot be released back into the wild. Its focus is primarily on birds, offering visitors a more specialized experience than a general wildlife park or zoo.

Visitors can explore woodland trails, observation areas, and aviaries featuring native birds of prey and other species. The sanctuary's education programs introduce guests to bird biology, conservation, and the challenges facing wild birds, while rehabilitation work provides care for injured and orphaned birds. The property also includes a nature center with exhibits and learning resources focused on local wildlife. Ohio Bird Sanctuary suits travelers interested in birdwatching, native wildlife, and conservation education, particularly those seeking a quieter nature-based experience centered on birds and their habitats.
