A drive-through wildlife park spread across 156 acres, combining two miles of safari roads with a walk-through village featuring a free-flight bird aviary, giraffe exhibit, and petting area.
Atlanta Safari Park is a drive-through wildlife park in northeast Georgia, with 156 acres of free-roaming habitat and two miles of roads through the safari area. Animals from around the world can approach vehicles along the route, giving the visit a more open and vehicle-based format than a traditional zoo. The drive-through takes about an hour to complete, with guests remaining in their vehicles throughout the safari portion.
After the drive, visitors can explore a separate walk-through area with a free-flight parakeet aviary, giraffe exhibit, and petting area. The aviary allows guests to hand feed colorful birds, while the giraffe experience provides an opportunity to feed and learn about these animals. Animal food is also available for use during the drive-through safari. The combination of open-range viewing, feeding opportunities, and smaller walk-through exhibits makes Atlanta Safari Park particularly suited to travelers who enjoy interactive wildlife experiences and prefer exploring animal habitats from their own vehicle.
