Yuma, TN
A guided safari park spread across 125 acres, where visitors ride an off-road safari vehicle to see exotic wildlife and can add supervised encounters with animals such as giraffes, kangaroos, and sloths.
Southland Safari is a guided wildlife park built around safari-style tours rather than self-driving or walking through animal areas. The 125-acre property is home to nearly 500 animals representing more than 50 species, with habitats ranging from open areas for hoofstock to spaces for smaller mammals. Tours take place aboard a dedicated safari vehicle with a guide who provides information about the animals and their care.
The experience emphasizes close observation and supervised animal encounters. Depending on the selected experience, guests may encounter giraffes, kangaroos, sloths, and other species, while the main safari route offers opportunities to see animals such as wildebeest, buffalo, kudu, impala, lemurs, and otters. Because visitors remain with the guided vehicle rather than driving their own cars through the park, the visit has a structured, tour-based feel. Southland Safari is particularly suited to travelers who want a more interactive wildlife outing than a conventional zoo visit and are interested in guided interpretation alongside animal encounters.
