Avian Behavior International

Avian Behavior Conservancy is a bird-focused conservation and education center that combines public experiences with professional training, behavior consulting, research, and online education. Its work centers on avian behavior and training, with the farm serving as a setting for working with birds while also incorporating agriculture, livestock, and habitat management. The organization emphasizes practical, species-informed approaches to bird care and behavior.

Public experiences provide several ways to encounter birds, including birds of prey programs, owl interactions, free-flight macaw experiences, hornbill hikes, and trainer-focused activities. The farm itself includes fruit trees, honey bees, free-ranging farm animals, and habitat that supports native wildlife such as owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles. This combination gives visitors a more specialized experience than a conventional zoo, with the emphasis placed on observing and understanding bird behavior rather than touring a broad animal collection. It particularly suits travelers with a strong interest in birds, animal training, and conservation-focused experiences.
